Brandon Riley is a virtualization and storage focused distributed systems veteran who has been working in financial services for the past 15 years. Currently, he designs, implements, and performance tunes infrastructure for a firm deemed systemically critical to the operation of the United States economy. While instrumental in introducing virtualization at his firm, he also implemented one of the first solid state SAN solutions on the market for an application used by the top 20 financial institutions in the country.
He has previously been a Tech Field Day delegate, and enjoys staying on top of emerging, disruptive technologies in the world of storage, and virtualization.
When not working, he writes for Virtual Insanity (http://www.virtualinsanity.com), and loves spending time with his two boys at home. Occasionally, he has been known to fire off a passionate political tweet and lose dozens of followers in a single day.
