In this piece, Dan Frith digs into the platforms latest updates, which he heard at Storage Field Day earlier this year. Isilon is particularly popular for media and entertainment workloads, which often aren’t optimized for the cloud. This capability opens up whole new possibilities without having to abandon existing workflows and tools.
