Aruba Why SD Branch?
Watch on YouTube
Watch on Vimeo
SD-WAN solutions are evolving to address the rise of Cloud, IoT, and increased complexity at the branch. This requires a comprehensive solution across not only the WAN but the wired and wireless networks at the branch. Thus, SD-Branch (a superset of SD-WAN) addresses the entire distributed enterprise from edge to cloud to core, with strong security and a greatly simplified IT experience.

Aruba’s SD-Branch combines best-in-class wireless, wired and WAN infrastructure with assurance and orchestration features to maximize both performance and operational efficiencies. Using SD-Branch, IT organizations enjoy cloud-based management to simplify the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of all branch locations

Aruba Virtual Gateway Orchestration for Public Clouds
Watch on YouTube

Aruba Virtual Gateway (vGW) is an entry point into the Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environments provided by AWS, and the virtual networks (VNET) in Microsoft Azure. Aruba’s rapid spin-up and lifecycle management of public cloud endpoints improves performance across branches and enterprise headends, while maintaining the convenience of public cloud hosting.

Aruba SD-WAN Application Polices
Watch on YouTube
Watch on Vimeo
Aruba supports end-to-end QoS for over 3200 applications which includes prioritization, traffic shaping, and CoS. Aruba goes beyond traditional QoS by enhancing visibility with user-role context from a hardened policy enforcement firewall. This approach enforces WAN policies within the branch gateway for both inbound and intra-branch traffic.

Aruba SaaS Express
Watch on YouTube
Watch on Vimeo
A key challenge in the WAN is the rapidly growing rate of SaaS traffic (such as Office 365, Box, or Salesforce) over the Internet. It’s often difficult to identify the best path for maintaining high performance of these applications. Aruba’s SaaS Express finds the closest SaaS application servers and monitors their health, dynamically steering traffic based on path quality and performance metrics.

Aruba Securing IoT at the Branch
Watch on YouTube
Watch on Vimeo
Branch security is critical and has many dimensions. With Aruba SD-Branch, it begins with simplified onboarding and provisioning. Uniquely in the industry, Aruba dynamically microsegments traffic using role-based policies on the LAN, WLAN and WAN. This eliminates the manual configuration and static maintenance of VLANs and access lists. Aruba branch security is further enhanced by deep visibility and a stateful L7 firewall, along with web content filtering.

Aruba Orchestrated Cloud Security

As more and more applications and solutions move to the cloud, a robust partner program offers customers the ability to leverage third-party defenses from vendors such as Zscaler, Palo Alto Networks, and Checkpoint. Instead of sending all traffic to the data center, real-time threat correlation, inline content inspection and other cloud firewall controls make it easy to protect today’s mobile perimeter.
