Cisco has been on the forefront of innovation with ML/AI for Networking; a first disruptive solution has been announced at Cisco Live 2019 in San Diego and two new products are now joining the ML/AI product family: the first one makes use of ML for device classification and the second relies on advanced ML techniques for the detection of spoofing attacks, under the same “Cisco AI” network family. After a brief review of the role of Telemetry for ML/AI, we will provide an overview of the new ML/AI functionalities for Wireless before reviewing with our panel of Networking Experts how ML/AI is used to tackle the critical security issue of device classification and spoofing detection techniques using technologies that have never been developed in the Network industry!
