DriveNets Company Overview

DriveNets is a fast-growing IP networking software company that set out to revolutionize Communications Service Provider (CSP) networks by disaggregating the network infrastructure from core to edge, in the same way hyperscalers disaggregated the cloud infrastructure.

DriveNets Network Cloud is a disaggregated high-scale CSP networking solution based on cloud-native software and standard networking white boxes.

This new distributed disaggregated router architecture can scale linearly from a single white box router of 4 Tbps to a cluster of hundreds of white boxes (up to 768 Tbps) while acting as a single router entity.

DriveNets Network Operating System (DNOS) Architecture

DriveNets Network Cloud architecture follows a disaggregated model with the cloud-native software disaggregated from the hardware on which it runs, supporting white boxes from multiple vendors based on an open design.

DriveNets Network Operating System (DNOS) is based on containers and microservices, and creates a unified shared infrastructure over a distributed architecture, running different routing services for different network functions (Core, Edge, Aggregation/Peering, and Access).

DriveNets Why Disaggregated?

Network operators have been struggling for years to simplify their operations, especially when scaling their networks and services. The hyperscalers solved these challenges in the Data Center by evolving the cloud model using disaggregated architecture with low-cost white box servers and software that virtualizes their resources.

Network disaggregation presents a unique opportunity for operators to benefit from the same advantages offered by the cloud — providing a low-cost model that offers operational efficiency, as well as profit growth.

The disaggregated router delivers numerous business and technical benefits – overcoming the current limitations of chassis-based solutions and opening up new opportunities for SPs.

DriveNets Network Orchestrator (DNOR)

Operations is a major challenge for network operators. DriveNets DNOR management application is responsible for provisioning, orchestrating, troubleshooting and integrating the Network Cloud platform with external systems.

Network services are automatically provisioned through one centralized, seamless management system (DNOR) to access the disaggregated resources they need at any given time.

DNOR supports zero-touch provisioning for hardware, software and platform components, automating the lifecycle of software components and exposure of standard APIs to management systems (OSS/BSS, Orchestrators).
