How Fortinet Machine Intelligence Advances Web Services and API Protection

Watch on Vimeo
Watch on YouTube

Cloud journeys and digital transformation have changed the way applications are delivered – faster and more distributed. Web services continue to expand from the data center, to cloud, the edge, and across global CDNs at an accelerating rate. This journey is exposing more interfaces and APIs publicly which represents a massively expanding attack surface. IT technology debt, skill gaps, and the shortage of trained professionals have been hamstrung organizations in their ability to scale with these problems. In this session Fortinet will demonstrate, through attack and defense sequences, how AI-based techniques can fill these gaps and allow security to keep pace with the innovation.

Defending Web Applications Against Advanced Threats with Fortinet Machine Learning

Applications are more dynamic and are delivered faster than ever. Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) have traditionally provided application protection with strictly static approaches. These static approaches haven’t been able to keep up with the continuous improvements of quickly iterating applications. Watch as Fortinet demonstrates real-world attack scenarios exploring anomalous traffic, bot attacks, and API security using advanced artificial intelligence. During this session Fortinet will dig into key concepts of machine learning and differentiate Fortinet’s unique approach to automating and accelerating attack response and mitigation.
