David Erickson, CEO of Forward Networks, gives an introduction into what the company is offering after coming out of stealth mode. The company is offering a network monitoring tool based on formal verification in a mathematical sense. Forward Network maps every place a packet could go in a network in a constantly updating model for their analysis. The company thinks of themselves as similar to Google offering algorithmic search in a world of web directories.

The checks allow network engineers to avoid guesswork in diagnosing network issues. Additionally, the system has historic snapshots of past configurations, so users can check to see when specifically the check would have failed in the network.
