Dani Golan presented a deep dive into their solid-state storage array. He began with some background on the solid state storage revolution and the challenges this poses to storage array design. Using a recorded demonstration, Golan showed the scale-out K2 storage system recovering from the loss of an entire active storage blade. He then discusses the elements of Kaminario’s DataProtect software layer and scale-out “SPEAR” architecture.
