Barry Russell, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cloud
Barry Russell brings more than 25 years of experience leading business development, product development, go-to-market, and operations, with a passion for building hyper-scale revenue models and launching new cloud services into the market. He is responsible for Qumulo’s cloud strategy, revenue, partner ecosystem and alliances, business development, digital sales, and go-to-market programs and execution.
Barry joins Qumulo from F5, where he served as the Global Vice President of the company’s cloud business. He was responsible for transforming the business to a cloud-based model, growing F5’s cloud revenue by more than 90 percent and launching its first software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution. Barry also served as an executive with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and was the General Manager of AWS Marketplace, growing it into a $1.5B+ business, and AWS Service Catalog used by thousands of enterprise customers and partners around the world.
Molly Presley, Head of Global Product Marketing
Molly Presley joined Qumulo in 2018 and leads worldwide product marketing. Molly brings over 15 years of file system and archive technology leadership experience to the role. Prior to Qumulo, Molly held executive product and marketing leadership roles at Quantum, DataDirect Networks (DDN) and Spectra Logic. Presley also created the term “Active Archive”, founded the Active Archive Alliance and has served on the Board of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA).
Tim Kresler, Director of Systems Engineering at Qumulo
Tim Kresler joined Qumulo in 2019 and leads Systems Engineering in the Central and Latin America regions. Prior to joining Qumulo he was most recently at Google Cloud as a Customer Engineering leader, and prior to that spent 15 years in the data space at NetApp, VMware, and Novell in various engineering, product management, and channel roles.

Barry Russell, SVP and GM of Cloud, presents the cloud strategy and customer use cases for Qumulo. Qumulo’s model is to offer one differentiated solution enabling customers to manage file data across private and public clouds. The Qumulo data platform powers applications and services across a variety of use cases, and Russell focuses on a few in this presentation: Content creation, mortgage processing, IoT in manufacturing, and retail. Qumulo enables cloud workflows across private and public clouds with open APIs that can be used in a DevOps pipeline.

Molly Presley, Sr. Director Global Product Marketing, presents the architecture of the Qumulo data platform. The system is built to be flash-first, hardware agnostic, API-driven, massively scalable, and simple to use. It supports a variety of access methods, including SMB, NFS, FTP, AD, LDAP, REST API, CLI, and GUI, and provides data services and a file system across a scalable block store. Presley reveals the product’s real-time analytics platform, showing performance, capacity trends, and activity across the system. Qumulo Shift enables native S3 storage placement, allowing data to scale to the cloud for native object access.
