Edge computing is key to unlocking the value of data and driving digital transformation forward but these distributed environments also create a number of challenges such as security, bandwidth, latency, and others that must be addressed in order for these projects to drive business value. ZEDEDA’s edge management and orchestration solution addresses these challenges while also increasing visibility, security and control.

Presented by Raghu Vatte, VP Product Managment and Customer Success, and Erik Nordmark, CTO and Co-founder

Meet the Security (and Safety) Requirements of the Edge with ZEDEDA

Edge computing is creating a new reality for security professionals who now need to extend their security infrastructures to a distributed environment that might have no perimeter, is heterogeneous, includes devices that may be too constrained to run traditional security tools, may have little to no onsite IT staff, and at a scale that may run into the tens of thousands or more. Plus, as previously segmented IoT projects are brought onto the network to leverage the on-site data analysis and decision making enabled by edge computing, it also brings a new OT stakeholder that may have different concerns than IT. ZEDEDA offers a simple and scalable cloud-based orchestration solution that delivers visibility, control and security for distributed edge computing, and is designed to meet the security, safety, uptime and usability needs of both OT and IT organizations.

Presented by Erik Nordmark, CTO and Co-founder, and Raghu Vatte, VP Product Management and Customer Success

EVE-OS, developed within Project EVE as part of the Linux Foundation’s LF Edge consortiumis a lightweight, fully open source, Linux-based operating system purpose-built for the distributed edge. The flexible EVE-OS architecture addresses common edge issues such as avoiding software and firmware attacks in the field, ensuring security and environmental consistency with unsecured or flaky network connections, and deploying and updating applications at scale with limited or inconsistent bandwidth.

Presented by Erik Nordmark, CTO and Co-founder, and Raghu Vatte, VP Product Management and Customer Success
