Marian Newsome

Marian Newsome operates as a Fractional AI Governance Officer through her consultancy ETM (Ethical Tech Matters), leveraging her IEEE CertifAIEd Lead Assessor credential—one of only 100 globally certified AI ethics experts—to help enterprises navigate the complex intersection of AI innovation and regulatory compliance.
With 18+ years at Dell Technologies, including specialized experience in SCADA systems and critical infrastructure, Marian brings rare operational credibility to AI governance consulting. Her approach emphasizes “trust-first governance” over compliance theater, positioning AI governance as a business enabler rather than a cost center.
Marian’s focus on AI infrastructure governance reflects her deep technical background combined with enterprise risk management expertise. She works primarily with CROs, CCOs, CTOs, and General Counsel at companies deploying production AI systems where governance failures create material business risk.
Her unique combination of operational technology experience and AI governance expertise positions her particularly well to address governance challenges in highly regulated sectors like energy, healthcare, and financial services—industries where AI governance isn’t theoretical but operationally critical.
Marian serves on multiple advisory boards and maintains a 27-member strategic advisory board. She is an active Tech Field Day delegate across AI Infrastructure, Security, and special event series.

Marian Newsome will join us as a delegate at AI Infrastructure Field Day 4 on January 28, 2026!
