I am a Technical Director in the Office of the CTO (OCTO) at Google and have over 15 years of experience innovating, designing, and building scalable storage systems. I have authored over 100 scientific publications and patents and chaired and sat on the program committee of dozens of conferences, including FAST, Supercomputing, HPDC, and ATC.

  • 10 years of industrial research/architect experience on distributed storage systems
  • 20 years of software development experience
  • PhD – Computer Science, University of Michigan
  • Proven senior software architect and developer
  • Manager and leader of software development teams
  • Invented, designed, developed and deployed numerous storage software features and products
  • 15+ years experience with distributed storage systems
  • Worked with dozens of customers on designing and architecting first of a kind storage infrastructures
