Apurv Gupta, Head of Engineering reviews the details of the Cohesity File System. This distributed file system was built from the ground up to help address the particular issues surrounding secondary storage. The File system includes writable snapshots, distributed NFS/SMB, and removes dedupe and compression redundancy. Apurv runs down the key features of the architecture, including its unique handling of metadata.
