Geoff Tudor, Director, Cloud Solutions, and Niraj Verma, Solutions Architect, introduce NetApp Cloud Volumes for Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Amazon AWS. They begin with a look back at the enterprise cloud journey, as companies move from traditional datacenters to virtualized solutions to the cloud. NetApp’s goal is to be the number 1 platform for shared storage, cost optimization, and the modern workplace on the public cloud of your choice. NetApp and Google Cloud are addressing the needs and challenges of file-based workloads for enterprises. Use cases include SAP, Windows, Google Cloud VMware Engine, and hybrid clouds. NetApp offers Cloud Volumes Service, Cloud Volumes ONTAP, and Anthos with NetApp HCI in Google Cloud. Tudor and Verma then discuss the architecture of Cloud Volumes and present benchmarks for performance. Next is a demo of Cloud Volumes on Google Cloud Platform and a discussion of various use cases.
