John Bedrick, Senior Director of Product Marketing, looks at SoftNAS SmartTiers, which is a SoftNAS patent-pending, automated storage tiering feature that moves aging data from more expensive, high- performance block storage to less expensive object storage according to your policies, reducing public cloud storage costs by up to two-thirds versus other available solutions.
The SoftNAS SmartTiers Cost Savings Calculator is a web-based calculator that can be used to show the potential savings a customer could save off the normal public cloud storage costs through the use of the SmartTiers feature contained within the SoftNAS Cloud Platinum edition.
