The PowerProtect Data Manager platform was first introduced at Dell Technologies World 2019. PowerProtect Data Manager provides software defined data protection, automated discovery, deduplication, operational agility, self-service and IT governance for physical, virtual and cloud environments.

In this session, learn about the latest capabilities and how quarterly releases deliver innovation and value to Dell customers running a variety of mission critical workloads across edge, core and cloud. Additionally, find out how these continuous enhancements are helping customers transition to a modern data protection solution.

Darren Niller, Director, Product Management, presents the details of the Dell EMC PowerProtect Data Manager platform. It is software-defined, provides self service and automation, is optimized for multiple clouds, includes SaaS-based management, and is built on a modern services based architecture. The goal is to create a complete software-defined solution across multiple clouds and deployment options, from the X400 appliance to VMware to AWS. PowerProtect Data Manager includes centralized management and data governance. Niller is joined by Laura DuBois, Vice President, Product Management in the discussion with the Tech Field Day delegates.
