Meet the First #TFD Delegates: Jennifer Huber
Although Jennifer Huber will not be joining us at Tech Field Day 20, she was a key person in the history of our Field Day events, attending the first-ever Networking Field Day event and serving as the inspiration for the Wireless Field Day series. Jamie Easley of Aruba caught up with Jennifer to discuss her history with Gestalt IT and Tech Field Day and reminisce on some of the highlights of her participation. We look forward to seeing Jennifer again soon!
Outdoor WiFi is Smaller, Sleeker and Faster
At Mobility Field Day last month, Jennifer Huber got a look at Aruba’s new flagship 802.11ac/ad outdoor access point, the AP-387. The AP has a set of 60GHz and a 5GHz radios that work to provide multi-gigabit speeds across a 300m range. For Jennifer, bringing together all those features in a tiny, portable, and fast AP is impressive.
Meraki’s LittleTable Isn’t So Little Anymore
Jennifer Huber heard from Cisco’s Meraki team at Mobility Field Day earlier this month. She was impressed with the responsiveness of their Wireless Heath dashboard. This allows her to view the massive LittleTable database and evaluate which client devices are behaving badly.
Mobility Field Day 3 – A Delegate
It’s always great to hear about people’s first Field Day event experience. In this post, Jim Palmer talks about some of the behind the scenes of being a delegate at Mobility Field Day. It was a packed event and Jim was impressed by his fellow delegates around the table.
Mobility Field Day 3 Approacheth
It’s been a long time since Jennifer Huber joined us for a Field Day event. Back then, she had attended Wireless Field Day. But later this month, she’ll join eleven other delegates for Mobility Field Day out in Silicon Valley. We’ve got a full slate of presenters announced, so make sure you mark your calendar for September 12-14 to watch the live stream.
