Fabrizio Maccioni, Technical Marketing Engineer at Cisco, reviews Cisco’s efforts to bring programmability to switches. Their efforts are based on the idea of trying to automate the entire network life cycle, from day zero to scripting and application hosting, through the upgrade cycle. The key to this is to bring consistency across many platforms and operating systems.
