Jason’s tech journey started at age 7, programming BASIC on a Commodore VIC20 and he’s been making technology do interesting things ever since. His career kicked off during the late ’90s ISP boom, starting in dial-up tech support before moving into network engineering. He spent years in the service provider space designing, building, and optimizing carrier infrastructure at scale.
He co-founded the US Networking User Association (usnua.com), building a nationwide community of network engineering professionals who share knowledge, tackle real-world challenges, and push the industry forward together.
Today, Jason runs Bits in Flight (bitsinflight.com), where he advises organizations on integrating AI and automation into enterprise networks. His work sits at the intersection of technical know-how and strategic thinking, helping companies make sense of emerging tech without getting lost in the hype.
When he’s not nerding out on network architecture, Jason plays drums and writes about networking, automation, and industry trends on the Bits in Flight blog.
