Ed Doe, VP of Product and Business, introduces Barefoot Networks to the delegates. The company has created Tofino, a domain specific processor for networking. This can be fully programmed using P4 to enable improved performance and features on network devices.

Roberto Mari, Director of Product Management, introduces the Barefoot Network’s approach to data plane telemetry. This has been architected around making telemetry useful to users and operators, looking at the path of packets, rules applied to them, queue length, and what resources were shared.

Roberto Mari, Director of Product Management, introduces Barefoot Networks Deep Insight, their network monitoring solution. This application can run on a single x86 servers with no agents on switches themselves, with the ability to scale out as needed. Deep Insight offers packet drop analysis, path and latency tracking, congestion analysis, topology awareness, and historical analysis.
