Banjot Chanana, Senior Director Project Manager at Docker, walks the delegates through Docker Enterprise Edition announcement of integration with Kubernetes. He first runs through the basics of Docker Enterprise Edition. The basic container runtime has been open sourced under the Moby project, with Enterprise Edition having built in orchestration and extensibility with separate storage and networking tools. The addition of Kubernetes gives organizations additional choice for orchestration along with their built in Swarm tool. By integrating with Kubernetes, Docker wants to make the overall experience easier to manager across Docker for Windows and Mac. Banjot gives an overview of how Swarm and Kubernetes coexist on Docker Enterprise Edition, and how the addition offers a more consistent experience for developers.
