He reviews how they gather peering analytics and how they’re conceptually managing it on the backend. This is all presented in the Kentik Direct Dashboard, which provides a user friendly interface for all this information.

Dan Ellis, CTO at Kentik, reviews the Kentik Data Engine. The Engine is currently handling 125 billion flows per day, and stores 75TB of flow per day. He reviews specifically how the engine is able to capture all the diverse sources, the custom database Kentik designed to handle this flow, and how this is analyzed in real time to identify anomalies.

Dan Ellis, CTO at Kentik, demonstrates the capabilities that Kentik Detect has to find network anomalies and to detect DDoS attacks. This is integrated with APIs to allow mitigation services to be activated once a DDoS is detected.
