Alex Ellis from the OpenFaaS project reviews how to quickly get serverless functions up and running using their protocol. He first situates how functions fit into the evolution of serverless computing and containers, as well as demonstrates how highly specific and efficient functions can be integrated. Alex walks through how the project was developed through a DockerCon Cool Hacks competition. OpenFaaS currently has a thriving developer community, with developer-first options, all while maintaining portability to keep operations simple.
