Infrascale Recovery for SMBs

Infrascale continues to focus on SMBs with its portfolio of data protection products, and Justin Warren, a Field Day delegate, continues to be impressed by what they have to offer. At last year’s Storage Field Day, Infrascale mainly focused on Disaster Recovery. Justin was very intrigued by what they had to offer, look at his thoughts here!

Streamlining BDR With DRaaS From Infrascale

In a day and age riddled with malware and ransomware, Infrascale offers their BDR product as a solution to the problem. Infrascale Puts the Customer First

Data://express 10: Datenmamagement, Backup Und Die Cloud

This episode of the German data://express podcast comes from the dynamic duo of Kerstin and Wolfgang Stief of data://disrupted. The latter attended August’s Storage Field Day presentationsn as a delegate, which serve as the topic of the episode. Listen to the show for all of their takeaways.

Storage Field Day 22: Ein Ausblick

We’ll see Wolfgang Stief as a delegate at this week’s Storage Field Day! Downtime Costs More Than Money

The cost of downtime is not just financial. Can you risk reputational loss as well? While downtime and data loss may cost companies millions of dollars per incident, 50% of them shut down within a year after a breach. However, now there is a less expensive and more agile solution than on-prem data security, Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service. Georgina Ford, Editor at Gestalt IT, looks at Infrascale’s Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service offering and why it might just save you money.

Infrascale Helps SMBs Fight Off the Scourge of Ransomware

In the latest post on his blog, Justin Warren writes that Cloud Field Day 8 presenter Infrascale has an effective tool to help your network be prepared for a possible ransomware attack. As a delegate, Justin got to see Infrascale present on their ransomware protection and cloud backup options and knew that this protection is something that plenty of administrators need. Check out Infrascale’s presentation on Ransomware Protection and their Cloud Backup on the Tech Field Day Website!

Has the Cloud Era Arrived? Thoughts From Cloud Field Day 8

With changing times come changing priorities in the tech world. After attending his first Cloud Field Day, delegate Adam Fisher observes that cloud consumption, which was already increasing year-to-year, has exploded in 2020 in the work from home environment. He writes that the Cloud Era has arrived, and recaps some takeaways from his favorite presenters at Cloud Field Day including Veeam, Zerto, Aruba, Diamanti, Infrascale and Morpheus Data. Be sure to check out Adam’s take on the Cloud Era on his latest post!

Cloud Field Day 8 Day 3 Highlights

Lino Telera has done a great job writing up all the presentations he saw during Cloud Field Day. In this post, he focuses on Infrascale and Zerto. Both companies presented on the third day of the busy event. He looks at Infrascale’s novel approach to backup and recovery, which actively monitors backup data against radical modifications like a sudden change of content in order to detect and prevent ransomware. Zerto also impressed Lino, with their continual refinement of their platform, now supporting stateful Kubernetes applications.

Preparing for Cloud Field Day 8

Lino Telera attended his fourth Field Day event during the virtual Cloud Field Day. In this post, he gives a preview of what he expected to see from each of the presenters. He was particularly interested to learn about Terraform Cloud from HashiCorp, and the application abstraction layer Spektra from Diamanti. Be sure to check out all his thoughts on the presenters before diving into the videos for yourself. We have an extensive archive of Field Day videos, stretching back years across all our events. It’s an invaluable resource for keeping up to date with the latest in IT.

Infrascale Provides Cloud-Based IT Resilience to the Masses

During Infrascale’s presentation at Storage Field Day 19, they discussed how the rise in capability and popularity of cloud computing has had the fortunate outcome of providing new tools and approaches to solving age-old problems. One such persistent pain point is that of disaster recovery. Infrascale has responded to this by providing a feature-rich platform for protecting against partial and full site failures using a combination of local and cloud resources.

Voices in Data Storage – Episode 39: A Conversation With Russell Reeder

Can Infrascale Compete in the Enterprise Backup Market?

Chris Evans is no stranger to the storage industry, so it’s always exciting to talk to a new company. At Storage Field Day, he got to hear from Infrascale, a company that has over two decades of experience in endpoint and enterprise data protection, but one that Chris hadn’t spoken to before. They offer solutions for cloud backup, SaaS protection, and disaster recovery, the last of which was demoed at the event. Chris was impressed that without a lot of flashing funding rounds, Infrascale offers a remarkable mature feature set. But with the shift in data protection models from applications to data, companies like Infrascale need to keep evolving to stay relevant with the times.

Rebooting Infrascale

While Infrascale might have been a newer face to some of the Storage Field Day delegates, for Dan Frith, he was familiar with them since 2016 after researching the BC and DR landscape. For Dan, the company represents a welcome option in the DR-as-a-Service market, something he’s found underserved, especially in Asia. The company approached their Storage Field Day presentation as a way to reboot both their offerings and perception within the market. He’s excited to see the company taking this approach and can’t wait to hear more from them in the future as the continue to build off this rebooted image.

Infrascale Protects Your Infrastructure at Scale

Dan Frith frequently crosses an ocean to join us for Field Day events, including the most recent Storage Field Day. As someone particularly interested in data protection overall, he was really interested to hear from Infrascale. The company was new to Dan prior to the presentation, but judging from this post, Dan is very glad to have seen their in-depth technical presentation. He found the company distinguished themselves by offering hardware as a core part of the offering, rather than building a solution based on one of the major data protection vendors. Be sure to watch their presentation and let us know what you think!

Storage Field Day 19 RoundUp

Storage Field Day is our first event of 2020, and we’ve got a packed roster of companies to present. It’s exciting to have a mix of familiar faces like NetApp and Dell EMC presenting with companies new to the event like Tiger Technology and Minio. Enrico Signoretti will be around the delegate table, asking questions and creating dialogue to help make Storage Field the unique event that it is. If that isn’t enough to get you excited, there is the always provocative “secret company” presenting at the event. Be sure to mark your calendar and unravel the mystery with us on the live stream.

Storage Field Day 19 – Vendor Previews

Chris Evans is no stranger to storage. His voice and experience is always welcome around the delegate table, and in this post, he brings both in previewing the presenting companies. He’s looking forward to the second day and hearing about Dell EMC doing deep dives into Isilon, DevOps and PowerOne. There are also a number of new presenters that Chris doesn’t have much background with. These include the DRaaS company Infrascale, the open-source enterprise-class object storage platform from MinIO, and Tiger Technologies. Tiger is competing in the crowded software-defined storage market, so Chris is interested to see how they will differentiate themselves. Western Digital will also be an interesting presentation, as the company has shifted it’s enterprise storage vision. Overall, it sounds like there’s not much Chris isn’t looking forward to at the event.

Storage Field Day 19: Getting Back to My Roots

Gina Rosenthal has extensive history in the storage industry, and we’re thrilled to now have her in the delegate ranks. In this post, she highlights what she’s looking forward to at the event. This includes a debut presentations from Tiger Technology, Infrascale, and Minio, as well as Gina’s second presentation from NetApp. There are many other presenters on tap, so be sure to mark your calendar for the event. We’ll have videos posted soon after the event, so even if you don’t catch the live stream, you can still watch all the storage goodness.
