Kaminario, a presenter at the first Storage Field Day in 2012, recently announced they were getting out of providing hardware for their AFA solution. Instead they will provide the software to run on top of certified storage from Tech Data. Chris Evans looks at the implications for the greater trend of the software-defined data center.
