Over 40 years of technical IT experience, with a broad range of skills covering all aspects of a modern data center. The majority of experience gained in a hands-on technical role performing a variety of duties in many diverse environments.
Extensive experience of zOS systems programming with skills, which include:
- zOS installation, customisation and support
- SMS conversion, planning and implementation
- Installation, customisation and support of several ISV products
In-depth experience of IT security especially on IBM mainframes but also for UNIX and PC based systems and cross platform environments.
I have handled technical reviews of systems and security software, preparing and presenting consultancy reports at both a technical and managerial level covering such topics as:
- Disaster recovery
- Physical site security
- Data, application and system software security
- Change management
- Client server security implications
- Network security for both Mainframe and Open System platforms.
