W. Curtis Preston (aka Mr. Backup) is an expert in backup & recovery systems; a space he has been working in since 1993. He has written four books on the subject, Modern Data Protection, Backup & Recovery, Using SANs and NAS, and Unix Backup & Recovery. Mr. Preston is also an experienced expert witness, independent consultant, and speaker, and has spoken at hundreds of seminars and conferences around the world.

Preston is also the founder of BackupCentral.com and the Restore it All podcast, listened to by thousands of people every month. The podcast is obsessed with helping others keep all their data by making it impervious to cyber attacks, terrorist attacks, natural disasters, errors, and hardware failure. So we talk about backup & recovery, DR, ransomware, cyber security, etc.
