When considering service availability, Riverbed seeks to condense metrics like connection failures, response time, and errors to determine if an application is available or not. Riverbed’s Unified NPM Platform unifies many tools in infrastructure and application data collection and analysis to provide telemetry, including AppResponse, NetProfiler, and NetIM. It provides cross-domain data analytics from packets, flows, and devices all the time. The Riverbed Portal provides business metrics and application maps based on application architecture, context grouping, and behavioral analysis.
