For more than 25 years, SNIA has led the industry in vendor- and technology-neutral storage standards, education, and architectures. However, modern storage implies much more than it did 25 years ago, from radically new media to different memory types to tighter performance margins to advanced compute capabilities, “storage” moves beyond traditional drives and networks. SNIA is evolving along with it, realigning with the critical changes in the data lifecycle.

The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) has distinguished itself in the past quarter century as a leader in the storage industry. Providing vendor-neutral standards, education, and innovative storage architectures, SNIA is now actively realigning itself in response to the drastic evolution of modern storage. At the core of this evolution is a greater level of collaboration with industry partners, a greater emphasis on educating non-experts on storage, and a commitment to efficient data handling. As storage dynamics continue to change, SNIA is expanding its focus, partnering with various organizations and redefining itself as not merely storage experts, but as comprehensive data experts.
