Jay Botelho (Director of Product Management at WildPackets) demonstrates a beta version of WildPackets OmniPeek 7.0 for wireless. The product will be publicly available on October 3, 2012. Jay used the room and the wireless devices in the room to help show new features within OmniPeek 7.0 including the Compass dashboard, which is able to view overall WLAN behavior, including signal strength, for any or all users or protocols on the network. Jay also demoed OmniPeek 7.0 multi-channel analysis using multiple, 3-stream 802.11n adapters, as well as wireless roaming detection.

Later in the presentation Jay demoed OmniPeek Remote Assistant, which allows non-technical users to capture packets to send via email to network engineers for deep packet analysis and troubleshooting, eliminating the need for the network engineer to be onsite.

WildPackets now supports wireless decodes such as 802.11ac, 802.11w, and 802.11u, and demonstrated the details of these decodes to the delegates.
