Rita Younger is the National Practice Lead for SDN and Network Analytics at CDW. Over her 28 year career as a network engineer she has achieved advanced technical certifications from Cisco, VMware, HP, and Microsoft.
Rita is responsible for leading CDW from sales, to presales and delivery into the major transition of software defined networking, orchestration and automation in the data center. Prior to being named the National Practice Lead, Rita spent 5 years as a Network Solution Architect for CDW focused on data center. Rita traveled globally as a consultant prior to joining CDW. Her largest customer was Cisco; she trained Cisco Advance Services engineers in locations including Paris, Stockholm, Prague and Sydney, just to name a few. Focusing on Data Center Security she also wrote documentation for the Nexus 7000 and lead projects. Rita’s most interesting customer was the Country of Suriname, where she spent four weeks configuring their data center switches and routers in the capital city of Parimaribo. Rita speaks at many events, which is the favorite part of her job. Rita has three children, the oldest Kyle is 24 and is a network engineer, her 21-year-old daughter Kori is a CDW Campus intern at SLU, Kole is too busy playing football and baseball the start learning networking yet, and her husband works for an Application Development company. In her spare time, she loves to travel, hike, bike and paddleboard.

Rita is passionate about encouraging young women to pursue a technical career.

Rita holds a B.S. in Communications from Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois
